The short version: AeroMagic processes everything on your device. Your photos, videos, and files never leave your phone. We do not collect, upload, or share your media.
1. Introduction
AeroMagic ("we", "our", or "the app") is a photo and video storage optimization app developed by Aerocube. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data.
By using AeroMagic, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
2. On-Device Processing
All core features of AeroMagic operate entirely on your device:
- Photo and video analysis
- Image and video compression
- Duplicate and similar photo detection
- AI-powered junk photo identification
- File system scanning
- Storage usage calculations
None of your photos, videos, or files are uploaded to any server. All processing happens locally using your device's hardware.
3. Information We Collect
3.1 Information You Provide
If you contact us for support, we may collect your name and email address solely to respond to your inquiry.
3.2 Analytics Data (Optional)
If you enable "Share Analytics" in Settings, we collect anonymous usage data such as:
- Feature usage frequency (e.g., which optimization tools are used)
- App performance metrics (launch time, scan duration)
- Device type and iOS version
- Crash reports
This data is fully anonymized and cannot be linked back to you or your photos. Analytics are disabled by default and can be toggled off at any time in Settings.
3.3 Purchase Information
Subscription purchases are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not collect or store your payment information. We only receive a confirmation of your subscription status from Apple to unlock premium features.
4. Photo Library Access
AeroMagic requests access to your photo library to scan, analyze, and optimize your photos and videos. This access is used exclusively for:
- Reading photo and video metadata (size, dimensions, date, type)
- Generating thumbnails for display within the app
- Compressing and replacing media with optimized versions
- Detecting duplicates and similar photos
You can revoke photo library access at any time in your device's Settings app.
5. File System Access
The Files & Downloads feature uses Apple's document picker to access folders you explicitly select. Access is limited to the folders you choose and is managed through iOS security-scoped bookmarks. We do not access any files outside the folders you grant permission to.
6. Data Storage
All app data (scan results, optimization history, settings) is stored locally on your device using:
- SwiftData for optimization history records
- UserDefaults for settings and scan caches
No data is synced to external servers. You can clear all cached data from Settings > Advanced > Clear All Caches.
7. Third-Party Services
AeroMagic does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. The only external service interaction is with the Apple App Store for subscription management.
8. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties. Period.
9. Children's Privacy
AeroMagic is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
10. Data Retention
Since all data is stored locally on your device, you have full control over retention. Deleting the app removes all associated data. You can also clear cached data from within the app's Settings.
11. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Revoke photo library access at any time
- Disable analytics collection at any time
- Clear all cached data from within the app
- Delete the app and all associated data
- Request information about data we may have (support inquiries only)
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through an in-app notice. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
